Side Dish

Side Dish brings 3 to 6 players together to experience the joys (and woes, and excitement, and anxiety) of preparing side dishes to bring to a special event set in the midst of some very dramatic circumstances.

Some might say "you are what you eat," but in this game - you are what you cook! Each character receives (or brings) a recipe for a side dish that their character will prepare for and cook over the course of the game. There's more to the recipe than meets the eye - this list of ingredients and instructions becomes the shining beacon around which your character is formed.

The game features a Chorus that calls out the ingredients of the recipe during a scene, keeping the active players on their toes with Challenges (The lettuce is wilted! Your father-in-law is calling!) that guide the development of the story. There's also a rotating Host role to ensure that things don't get too off the rails, to answer any questions that may arise, and to keep the game flowing smoothly.

Featuring a developed structure for guiding new and experienced players through the story of the game, along with sample recipes and prompts to let you hit the ground running (or cooking, as it were), Side Dish is a delicacy waiting to be sampled!
